Symptoms of a worm or parasite infection can be quite varied and dependent on the type and number present in a horse. A complicating factor is that a horse may not present with symptoms until the parasite burden is high.  


Some typical symptoms of worms or parasites include:

  • Itching
  • Weight loss
  • Reduced appetite
  • Colic
  • Lethargy
  • Susceptibility to infections
  • Pneumonia
