TREATING EXISTING ULCERS

Refer to the AbSucralfate Product Fact Sheet for specific dosage and regime information for treatment of existing ulcers.

PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT

If you have a horse prone to ulcers in specific situations (ie. travelling or competing), it is possible to minimise the chance of ulcers using a preventative AbSucralfate treatment regime.

For example, a treatment regime for a horse triggered by competitions:

• Treat with AbSucralfate 24 hours prior to the competition.
• Continue treatment throughout the competition.
• Treat with AbSucralfate for a further 24 hours post-competition.
